Use this one simple trick to flush millions of dollars down the drain

Mike Bloomberg, former mayor of New York City and gun control zealot-at-large, pumped a ton of money into Virginia in an attempt to flip the state Senate to the Democrats and got the same return on investment he got the last time he tried - zero. Republicans still control both houses of the Virginia legislature and will continue to serve as a brake on the gun-grabbing ambitions of Governor Terry McLowlife McAuliffe.

Mrs. Paco and I voted last night, but, unfortunately, our state senator and delegate are both Democrats who ran unopposed. On the upside, that titan of industry, J. Packington Paco III, will go down in history as a tiny footnote as my write-in candidate for both positions.

"Ah, yes. Politics. Pots of money in it, you know."

WTH, is this a new, realistic, Republican strategy?

"We'll just capitulate to the Democrats if we win, so why bother fielding a candidate."

Yeah, that is part of the problem. Fairfax County was, not so long ago, a place where Republicans sometimes won (our former U.S. congressman was a Republican; he retired and was replaced with Democrat cipher, Gerry Connelly, who beat his last opponent by less than a thousand votes). Our current state senator is a fellow with the absurd nickname "Chap"; he looks like a shoe salesman from the 1940s. Don't believe me? How about now?

Too many would-be office holders, however, want to start near the top: U.S. House, U.S. Senate, governor. We need more who are willing to begin their careers at the "entry level" of local and state politics.

Here's a direct link to the article that has the "shoe salesman" picture of Chap Petersen (the link above seems to be to an array of images).

A 1940s shoe salesman...or is he winding up to throw his shoes at George W. Bush.

Paco, I was thinking he'd look more like Smilin'Bob. He's a Democrat so he's definitely peddling the same old worn post and pans.

GWB is the Progressives' boogeyman.

Haven't heard much from J.P. lately, or that ex-Werewolf butler of his.
