Assortment

Fraser Nelson provides some useful context on Brexit (see also Richard Fernandez).

And Greg Gutfeld's drunk-tweeting of Brexit is a delicious rant for the ages.

John Hinderacker at Powerline enjoyed the documentary Weiner. An interesting review; however, I confess that I'm linking to it primarily because of the photos of the hilarious New York Post headlines.

Parents, think hard before you commit substantial funds toward your children's education at colleges - like UNC - that are mired in the fatuity of political correctness.

Barack Obama: outlaw.

Senator Tim "Crazy Eyes" Kaine (of Virginia, alas) thinks that limiting magazine capacity is "the way to go" with gun control (Right. Because it will never occur to a shooter to carry multiple 10-rd magazines which can be switched out in, what, 2 or 3 seconds?) Note to self: buy some drum magazines now.

Insightful commentary from Ed Driscoll on the English whining class, as represented by one Tom Whyman (writing in the New York Times, of course), with an aside on George Orwell.

How the hell did this guy ever become an advisor to the Department of Homeland Security? (Oh, wait. Obama.)

So, George Will is leaving the Republican Party. I wish this guy would: "Republican Introducing Gun Control Bill Received Millions in Backing From Bloomberg".

"You cannot legislate crazy, and I will not allow you to legislate my ability to level the playing field against crazy."

Ah, we all get the idea of freedom from the Old Testament, Exodus, ultimately. Tell you what, the Germans tell me the EU is meant to mirror the USA.

Anyway the Brits will do well one their own, as long as they don't turn to piracy on the Francis Drake model (!). And the Germans will fall back to some sort of Hanseatic/Austro-Hungarian type of arrangement. All sides will benefit. I believe the US encouraged the EU model after WWII though, because the former complex military treaties were seen as a cause of conflict. That problem may come back with Russia looming over all. It gives the Eurocrats some real challenges, to shake them out of their obsessions with regulating sauce bottles. They need this kick in the pants.
