He told his wife that he was depressed by the stack of resignation letters piling up on his desk from disaffected agents. The letters reminded him every day that morale in the FBI had hit rock bottom. And there's also this:
'The people he trusts the most have been the angriest at him,' the source continued. 'And that includes his wife, Pat. She kept urging him to admit that he had been wrong when he refused to press charges against the former secretary of state.Grain of salt and all that (as there always has to be with unsourced reporting), but this sounds about right.
Update: What the...650,000 emails on this one lap top!?! That's an awful lot of scouring somebody's going to have to do. I guess that nixes the idea that this business can be cleared up before the election.
Update II: Thuggary Clinton - "Leaked Email Shows How Far Hillary Was Willing to Go to SILENCE Trey Gowdy".
It must be a husband thing. Pontius Pilate's wife warned him, but did he listen...no. Twenty-five hundred years later husbands still don't listen to their wife.
ReplyDeleteOT Paco, how is Mrs. Paco?
She's being moved to a rehabilitation clinic this afternoon. She's doing better, but months away from being a hundred percent.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad to hear she's doing better. Please tell her we're thinking and prayin'. If there is someplace we can send cards....
DeleteI know the rehab facility she's at is better than the one I was in, but I learned a few things. Label everything with permanent marking. Clothing disappears. file box to hold valuables (phone, charger, tablet, etc), with a long bicycle cable to put around it and secured to the bed.
Darn! We know where y'all are at on election. Will there be coverage from rehab?

Did you get her a absentee ballot, Paco? If this clown show is gonna be stopped, we'll need every vote we can get.
ReplyDeleteOops! Dang whatever! Sorry for the double post. Wish I knew how to remove it (hint, hint).
ReplyDeleteDeborah: I went out to see her after she was transported to the rehab clinic, and I'm trying to find another option, pronto. The place is something of a dump, and the competence of the staff seems to be two or three levels lower than that of the hospital she was in.
ReplyDeletePaco, boy, it just keeps getting better, doesn't it. Hope you can get her to a better place right away.
DeleteSounds familiar. I thought you'd have better there. One would think so for the amount of money being paid. The doctors who recommend these places either have a different sense of quality, or their getting a kickback. Isn't there supposed to be oversight? Or are they getting a kickback too.
Best wishes to Mrs. Pasco and you!
Oops! Sorry about that spelling. Don't know how that s for in there.
DeleteSorry to hear that, Paco.
ReplyDeleteSocialized medicine is terrible, generally...although there can be sweet spots.
Last time I went to a public hospital for anything serious(2002), the sheets and floor were covered in shit, offered by my obviously completely insane roommate...for days; the nurses eventually arrived to clean things up.
My mother, on the other hand, had 100% excellent treatment and attention to detail for all her health problems...prior to my sister (she of the spirits of nature) locking my mother away because of apparent dementia, shortly before my mother's death.
Please God, bless Paco, Mrs. Paco and Paco's family.
Anon: Thanks for your good wishes. I'm sure we'll get through this somehow.
