Mrs. Paco got dragged off her feet while walking the dog today and broke her hip. She's scheduled for surgery tomorrow morning, so I'll be offline for a few days most likely. Prayers for her speedy recovery would be appreciated.
Update: Mrs. Paco developed some cardiac issues after the surgery (including a heart rate of 200 beats a minute). They got her stabilized, but are keeping her in the ICU overnight for observation. Possibly related to the surgery (the surgeon wound up doing a complete hip replacement).

ReplyDeleteOh no. We're sad to hear of Mrs. Paco's travails. We add our heartfelt wishes and prayers for to the rest of the Paconistas. Hope she gets out of ICU and hospital quickly.
ReplyDeleteAs for the dog. He/she needs to know that whoa means whoa. Doggy boot camp will teach that. By-the-way, what are the details on this dog?
Daisy is some kind of mix - as near as we can figure out, pit bull, boxer and Lab. And apparently sled dog, given her propensity to "mush" whenever the mood strikes her. She is as gentle as a lamb with the Paco clan - Maggie climbs all over her - but unfortunately she has developed a pack mentality, and tends to lunge in the direction of other animals (in this case, a neighbor dog that was running around loose). She weighs around 75 pounds, and Mrs. P. is probably around 115, so, you get the picture.
