The EAA Witness is my favorite semi-auto pistol. It has never jammed, takes a 17-rd magazine, and is very easy to disassemble (and reassemble). And that .38 Super cartridge is deadly accurate.
I also have a Colt 1991 Government in .38 Super, but haven't fired it yet. A beautiful handgun; wonderfully blued slide and gorgeous checkered rosewood grips.

Interesting! I have nothing in .38 Super. Might be useful to look at this capability.....
