Well, that was quick work

"A wanted sex offender who disappeared after leaving a federal prison in Virginia was caught Wednesday in the District, police said."

Color me astonished. I figured this guy would have no trouble at all blending into a crowd:

Ah, facial tattoos. One of those things that always seem like a good idea at the time.

It's weird how they match and camouflage his eye pupils. At first I only saw the hair.

Yeah, the color matching was pretty good.

The WaPooPoo article mentions that he was supposed to go to a transition facility where, among other things, he would get employment counseling. Unless he wanted a job as a phone solicitor I don't see him getting any job requiring contact with customers. But perhaps I am just old fashioned.

Debt collection might be his employment niche.

Just curious, is there ever a point at which a tattoo artist says "Sorry, that's a bit too much, I won't do that"? Judging from some of the 'specimens' I've seen over the years (like this guy), I'm guessing the answer is no.

I'm all in favor of facial tattoos.

It used to be just so I could have a reliable guide as to who I do not need to talk to without needing to actually talk to them.
Facial tattoos are a public service.

I had never before thought about criminal branding.

So facial tattoos are even more useful than even I thought!

He would kind of blend into the brickwork.

I don't know what would be more effective, pepper spray or Raid.

Maybe a fly-by-night insurance company.

More like DDT.
