Pickin' pears with flair

We were lucky to get a few pears this year. Usually the squirrels and the birds get hold of them first.

Tomorrow, Maggie gets to take a train ride into Washington, DC to her grandpa's office, to get a first-hand look at the Deep State.

Sweet kid. I'm sure having her around brightens every day.

Bless her pear picking heart! She's the cutest pear picker ever.

It's good that you got a few pears. Maybe the critters were sharing...nah, probably more like the new guys missed a few. We never beat the bugs and birds to the pomegranates.

Will you take that train ride with of the storm comin'in? Hope everyone is/stays safe.

Medina County, Texas was gipped by Hurricane Harvey. We have high wind and very little (much needed) rain. The maps were accurate by showing the storm stopping at the eastern county line.

She's such a pretty child.

She's the last hope of the Pacos (or next to the last hope; I was forgetting Cal for a moment).

The thing I love most about her is her rampant imagination. Last night she was talking on a toy telephone to some imaginary person, and her tone was pretty unfriendly. I said, "Maggie, you're not being very nice to whoever you're talking to", and she said, "It's ok, Grandpa, it's just a maniac".

A maniac? Sounds like she's been exposed to leftists, already. :)
