Happy Feet Friday
Bud, you need to straighten up and fly right - or so say the Andrews Sisters.
So used to hearing this in the jet era, but I just realised the Andrews version must have been popular with WW2 airmen busy with keeping formation, wow. (But apparently Nat Cole wrote it based on his father's sermons).
Who doesn't like the Andrews Sisters. They and this hit are enduring classics. Interesting tidbits. They were second to Bob Hope in the number of USO shows, They were outside Naples, Italy doing a show for troops headed to the Pacific when Patty was handed a piece of paper. After reading it, she started to cry, and said, 'Boys, the note reads here — the war with Japan is over.' "
Parents used to tell this to their misbehaving kids. There Probably still are. Good advice for any generation.
