ReplyDeleteI'm embarrassed to admit that I did not know he was Sir George Shearing (just came across that datum while reading the Wiki bio).
ReplyDeleteAlthough I always associated him with a unique, but definitely "cool jazz", style, I was delighted to find out a while back that he was no slouch as an adept of the boogie-woogie mode.
And Peggy Lee. What can I say? One of my very favorite singers.
