Fascism? Just watched a doco on Roman Britain 'from the air' on Youtube. Amazing. We, the French, and all Republics (learned friends) owe so much to the Romans. We should all try to be more like them.
For example Rome had its expansion era, then came Hadrian who built walls to conserve and consolidate the gains. Expansion-consolidation, it's a cycle. Walls are essential. And keeping the Picts out.
