Toward the tail-end of the Western Swing era, Lee Bell and his band, based in Roswell, New Mexico, achieved a significant measure of popularity in the southwest, with a radio show, a television show and live performances in local nightclubs. Here he is from 1952 performing some pure honky-tonk with "Beatin' Out the Boogie on the Mississippi Mud".
