I shall return
Will return in a couple of days, I hope. Mighty tempting to linger here at the country home, 'cause the livin' is easy, but I guess we ought to be moving on.
Based on some pictures that a neighbor sent us, the house looks fine from the outside. I couldn't see any damage to the siding, shutters, roof,etc. And there wasn't any standing water in the yard. So, thanks be to God that the command center seems to be in good shape. Paco
Happy news indeed. Hopefully all is as well as the pictures present. Too bad you succumbed salubious sirens who lured you away from the ease of the country home. Well, absence makes the heart grow fonder.
Good news that HQ is undamaged. I grew up in a flood town and have memories of fun times boating around the neighbourhood. But if you are new to the smell of flood mud you may be surprised at how pungent it is and how long it lasts after the waters recede.
