Cui bono?
Really stupid right-wing hoax or heavy-handed left-wing false flag operation? Or just some total moron stirring the pot? We'll see, but I share Ace's suspicions.
Tim's thread commenter 'Konrad' says it so well I want to quote verbatim:

This is not an attempted terror attack, nor even a serious attempt to threaten. If the perpetrators had truly intended to show a credible threat, they would have sent a properly designed and disguised device that could pass screening with a critical component obviously intentionally disabled.
This was a political stunt. The good news is that CNN foolishly went and published photos they took before the bomb squad arrived, clearly showing that they had repeatedly handled and moved their fauxbomb for photographs, thus proving they did not consider it a threat. Everyone can now see this was an attempt to shape 'narrative', not a terrorist act."

I'm reserving judgment until they catch whoever it was (who is either the most incompetent bomb-maker in history, or a total idiot who wanted to make a stupid political statement). It's going to be interesting.
Imo, a false flag to tarnish the Republicans before the election. I doubt they'll find who did it; I suspect Deep State is behind it and they won't leave any incriminating evidence. Maybe I'm wrong but this seems very orchestrated. Are you guys sure you can trust the FBI, CIA and the rest of the alphabet agencies these days? It's war against Trump and American conservatives and there's apparently nothing these wicked people will not stoop to.
Yesterday on Fox, a bomb expert clarified that these were not bombs because they don't have the necessary components. These devices are only meant to scare. This statement fell on deaf ears as the media, including Fox, continues repeating the bombs mantra. Talk about suppression of truth.
But hey, those wires attached to each end (because electricity, duh!) look scary just like the ones in movies. One red wire, one black, and we all know if you cut the wrong wire it's really bad in the movie climax. Plus the coffee cup at the top corner of the photo shows me these CNN guys were really taking it seriously (did they reflectively smoke their pipes while examining it too?).
Yes I agree with Ace. Plus the whole thing stinks: like Dr Fraud who's now last week's crisis of the media/election cycle.
