Assortment

Upper-class twits ain't what they used to be.

George H.W. Bush truly led a full and fascinating life. Here he is, as captain of the Yale baseball team, meeting Babe Ruth.

So, is Paris just experiencing the usual outbreak of car-b-q hijinks, or is something else afoot? More here.

While conservatives kept watch for government overreach, the left-wing billionaires crept up on us.

An extreme case of the fox being put in charge of the hen house: "Is the FBI Raiding Whistleblowers' Homes to Protect Robert Mueller?"

A bargain at half the price: "Tickets to Bill and Hillary’s Live Houston Show Sink Lower — Now at $6 – The Price of a Big Mac Meal".

Well, that's an interesting retirement option: "The Man Who Has Lived On A Cruise Ship For 13 Years".

I'm actually impressed and almost happy about the FBI raiding the home of the Clinton Crime family whistleblower, the guy's still breathing isn't he?
Most people who try to 'get' the Clintons end up with a serious case of the deads. It was either a raid by the FBI or committing suicide by shooting himself in the back 42 times.

Besides, it's already been very apparent that the FBI is in business to protect our betters. They realize they don't even have to pretend anymore.

Yeah, no suicides or surprising incidents of cardiac arrest, yet, so that's all to the good.

At 94, Mr Jablin looks amazing; his life has been very successful.
What a guy.
Can understand why he likes the sole at meals; one of the nicest fish to eat; here in Australia it's called a flounder and is delectable.

Upper class twit: Prince Charles says when he gets on the throne he's going to play an active role advising the govt, about 'climate change' and so on.

Bruce; sumbitch will live to 110, like Jerry Brown & Pelosi & Charles Manson & everyone else not intercepted by Gabriel.

Meanwhile, a kid I knew in high school, John Sharp, died at 19 crashing his Nova.

Too true about losing good people while the twits and sociopaths survive, Jonah.

The news is amazingly quiet on the rioting in France. I wonder why ...............

NOT.

I noticed that too. They are also amazingly silent on the disaster in Alaska. Well, as the so-called journalistic folks say, "If it bleeds it leads". No blood in Anchorage, so.... plus the Alaskans don't wait for someone to fix things, they get to work. They fixed one road in three days! The French are still waiting.

I don't know about you, but I'm tired of people throwing hissy fits everytime they don't get their way. And being coddled.

Early 20th century films of city streets around the world

Thanks for posting that link Mike_W. The modern automobile certainly lead to a big change in how city streets were used. I was surprised by how people appeared to be using the streets as a commons area, crossing the street willy-nilly, or just standing around visiting with others and dodging the occasional automobile or horse drawn carriage or street car. The streets of San Francisco in 1906 made it obvious why they needed "rules of the road", to control the chaos.

Yeah, rinardman, utter chaos :O
It's fun playing that San Francisco video and spotting how many people escaped being run over by a few inches. Incredible reflexes and maneuvering.

Your prediction is probably right, except for Charles Manson. He went to Hell on November 19, 2017.
