The Virginia State Democratic Party leadership convenes for an emergency session and sing-along

Update: Unlikely, but how hilarious if it does happen: "GOP VIRGINIA HOUSE SPEAKER BREAKS SILENCE — HE COULD BE NEXT GOVERNOR"

  1. I told my friends to vote for Pappy O'Daniel, but did they listen?
No! They fell for that Friend of the Little Man and stumpy midget bs.

  2. Hey! Is that guy in the second row....

Was Al Jolson a racist ahead of his time.

  4. It's sad, without Paco's stabilizing influence, the formerly great Republican state of Virginia has devolved into a cesspit of Dimocrat buffoonery!

  5. As far as the Democratic Party goes, I think Virginia is just the tip of the iceberg.

  6. R-man: Yeah, I feel kind of guilty about that. But I will redouble efforts to ensure that the Carolina Homeland does not follow suit (we do, unfortunately, have a Democrat governor, but there is no evidence - so far - that he has worn blackface or sexually assaulted anyone).

Rebecca: I agree: there's really nothing unique about Virginia's Democrats.

  7. Once Herring got caught int he blackface thing I knew that none of them would step down. Not if the next in line is a Republican. So all three will tough it out.

Really, nobody can force them out. Impeachment's not a realistic prospect. Best thing to do now is accept it and make sure these three hang around the neck of every Dem in the country. And point and laugh, too.

  8. Steve: You're probably right. Heaving the Republican into the governor's mansion is a long shot.

  9. You can bet there's already a small army of Dimocrat journos looking at Kirk Cox's background for anything they can try to hang him with, if it starts to looks like he'd end up as governor.
