"There are countless horrible things happening all over the world and horrible people prospering, but we must never allow them to disturb our equanimity or deflect us from our sacred duty to sabotage and annoy them whenever possible." -Auberon Waugh
I thought it was a joke but it looks surprisingly good.
ReplyDeleteI understand that rattlers taste like chicken......
ReplyDeleteI missed my chance to try rattlesnake when I lived in Arizona. I saw it on the menu of a restaurant, and even saw it in a can in a supermarket.
ReplyDeleteRattlesnake is good. One that we ate was fresh, as in still rattling when the good ol' Tennessee boy went out on the Army's testing range at Ft. Huachuca, Arizona and hunted them during our down time.
ReplyDeleteOne of the sergeants refused to eat it. I was a lower rank than him, nevertheless I pointed out that as a Vietnam combat vet he shouldn't be squeamish about eating snake. No big deal.
Of course, I didn't eat fresh water eel for a long time because it looked like a snake. That was until I thought about it, and realized it's just a fish in a different body. I missed out on great food. Fresh water eel is probably one of the best fish I've ever eaten.
