Fascinating

The Vichy conservatives (what Ace calls the "Cucks") are now at each other's throats, with the increasingly unstable Max Boot now charging National Review with having white supremacist leanings (Ace has a long post filled with amazing charges and counter-charges).

Many members of OfficialConservativeThink, Inc. have accused President Trump of usurping the power and authority of the Republican Party, and also of fraudulently donning the mantle of conservatism. What really happened, though, is that the self-appointed conservative elite lost their (admittedly dubious) leadership roles because Trump, man of action, was actually out there doing conservative things - and doing them brashly, loudly and bumptiously, in a way that gave the establishment Right Trumperium tremens, causing their august little group to succumb to a mass attack of the vapors. More importantly, Trump's political successes rendered the utility of cut-rate philosophes like Boot and Goldberg and Kristol meaningless (or, more accurately, revealed their long-standing, but cleverly concealed, irrelevance for all to see). Now, they are turning on each other in order to maximize the economic value of their declining grifting opportunities.

Max Boot's vision of the annual National Review picnic:

The ten worst epidemics:
The Black Death.
Yellow Fever.
Smallpox.
Cholera.
Malaria.
AIDS.
Epidemic Typhus/Camp Fever.
Polio.
The Great Influenza Epidemic of 1918.
Tuberculosis.

Plus the one we're in the middle of, now: Trump Derangement Syndrome.

They may have had a few clever things to say decades ago, but Ace shows how they've run out of ideas and are just diving for donor pennies now. And yeah eventually the 'revolution' eats its own.
