Dave Barry once covered a news item concerning some Thais getting in a gun fight. One group went into some caves to collect bat guano when they ran afoul of a group of rival bat dung gatherers.
And so, of course Barry noted that Rival Bat Dung Gatherers was an excellent name for a band.
Grunge, of course. BTW, is guano only from bats, or is birds as well?
I like your clever use of "ran afoul".
I looked it up, and guano comes from bats or birds. There is a factory in Central Texas that collects the bat guano from a cave there that has the largest population in the world, 20 million. They collect when the bats go to Mexico for the winter.
James Bond had to go up against Dr. Julius No, who was using an industrial bat guano gathering operation on a Caribbean island as cover for sabotaging early NASA rocket launches. Dr. No met his demise when 007 dropped a big shovel load of guano on him and smothered him.
