I like RC Cola. Didn't realise it began in Georgia. We don't have moon pies to go with it tho.

Just watched the John Wayne movie mentioned in the RC ad, on YouTube: Wake of the Red Witch

I'd never heard of it before, but if you like John Wayne and would like to see him in something other than a western or war movie, this isn't a bad one to watch. Made in 1948, in B&W, of course.

Bruce: RC is my favorite Cola (less syrupy than Coke, not as overly-sweet as Pepsi). And it goes with everything: probably even Vegemite.

R-Man: Yeah, it's an interesting departure from his westerns. I've only seen it once, I think. Isn't that the one with the octopus?

Yeah, that's the one. That would be a good trivia question: in what movie did John Wayne kill an octopus?

Also, I learned from the comments on YouTube that this was one of nine movies where John Wayne's character died. I haven't confirmed that, but they listed the movies, so assume it's true.

I didn't know there were that many. One in which I believe he died (although, as I recall, we're left to make the assumption based on the ending, it's not definite) is a really unusual vehicle for Wayne called The Sea Chase, in which he plays the captain of a German commercial vessel during WWII.
