Pray for rain

Our thoughts and prayers are with our Australian mates as terrible fires blaze out of control in New South Wales.

  1. Thank you, yes we need rain.

Fires came within 3 miles of me, another ten miles south, now under control but some uncertainty. You may know Lithgow of the Arms factory - some houses destroyed there a week ago, and lots elsewhere. We watch for burning embers blown by the wind.

  2. And these fires, as you might expect, are all the work of that eeeeeeeevil climate change.
Nothing to do with declaring huge areas of land as 'national park' and then putting them off limits!
One of the leaders in that campaign was former Premier of New South Wales Bob Carr.
Bruce, has Carr been sought out for comment? He seems to have vanished.

  3. No sign of Bob Carr, no.

  4. Your kind prayers had some effect. After weeks of hot dry air and smoke we awoke this morning to a thick wet fog and light soaking rain. Thanks again.

  5. It's been like this for months; sky is usually orange with the acrid smell of smoke in the air 24/7.
Even when it rains a little it's not enough; we need a thorough drenching.
Personally, I blame all the sinners down under.
Jesus loves me but he can't stand them.
