"There are countless horrible things happening all over the world and horrible people prospering, but we must never allow them to disturb our equanimity or deflect us from our sacred duty to sabotage and annoy them whenever possible." -Auberon Waugh
Thank you, yes we need rain.
ReplyDeleteFires came within 3 miles of me, another ten miles south, now under control but some uncertainty. You may know Lithgow of the Arms factory - some houses destroyed there a week ago, and lots elsewhere. We watch for burning embers blown by the wind.
And these fires, as you might expect, are all the work of that eeeeeeeevil climate change.
ReplyDeleteNothing to do with declaring huge areas of land as 'national park' and then putting them off limits!
One of the leaders in that campaign was former Premier of New South Wales Bob Carr.
Bruce, has Carr been sought out for comment? He seems to have vanished.
No sign of Bob Carr, no.
ReplyDeleteYour kind prayers had some effect. After weeks of hot dry air and smoke we awoke this morning to a thick wet fog and light soaking rain. Thanks again.
ReplyDeleteGreat news! We'll give prayers of gratitude, and request for continued blessings.
DeleteThanks be to God.
ReplyDeleteIt's been like this for months; sky is usually orange with the acrid smell of smoke in the air 24/7.
ReplyDeleteEven when it rains a little it's not enough; we need a thorough drenching.
Personally, I blame all the sinners down under.
Jesus loves me but he can't stand them.
