Trump scores again

The President took out one of the leading terrorists in the world (more than one, actually); precipitated World War III, which lasted a couple of hours and apparently killed nobody but the truly unfortunate people who were in an airliner that was probably shot down by Iran in a panic; and has shown the world that the Iranian theocracy is essentially a paper tiger that has gotten away with murder and international mayhem on a huge scale simply because so-called leaders in the west permitted it to do so.

Haw! From the Babylon Bee: "Trump Holds Morning Press Conference To Moon Iran On National Television".

That battleswarmblog is a great summary, 'channeling Curly from the 3 Stooges'.

Sure looks like panic exposing the Iranian leaders' incompetence.

Trump's measured responses look masterful to me.

I haven't seen anybody pitch a fit like that since the time I made Paco junior go to bed early one night as a punishment for some damn thing or other (I believe he was four years old).

Meh. In truth, Paco Jr.'s fit wasn't nearly as bad.

So sit right back and I'll tell you a tale
A tale of some fateful shit.
Solami left from Beirut for
His 'ppointment with the Pit.

His guide is an orange man president
His soldiers brave and pure.
We're promised by media a world war 3
A 4 hour war...4 hour war.

So join us each week my friends
We're sure to get a snarl...

Yeah Jonah, so now he's on one of those islands in Dante's Inferno, and no Ginger or MaryAnne either.

That's a very thoughtful analysis there; I just bookmarked the blog. Thank you for sharing it, Paco!

Yeah, 22 missiles is a pathetic response, and a huge mistake by the Iranian theocrazy (not a mis-spelling), as it displays that paper tiger.

Seriously, that's all? Their military posture is pathetic, unlike their terrorist structure. They haven't been challenged on the battlefield in a couple of generations, and it shows. Apparently the old observation that Arabs can win battles but not wars applies to Persians as well, only more so.

Now, I wouldn't put it past the mullahs to stage that missile strike as a means to lull Western intelligence agencies for a later, more devastating attack. But the lack of Coalition casualties and limited damages suggests that the multiple-national forces were prepared for this sort of response. Further, Occam's Razor leads us to the conclusion that such deception is difficult to stage, and it's more likely that not only do the Iranians have poor aim, they have s****y ordnance (2 duds out of 22 very expensive missiles? Really?).

And that airliner ... ... there's footage on Twitter, showing what purports to be the doomed aircraft falling from the sky, in flames, clearly visible against the night. Pictures of the wreckage show what looks to be bullet holes in the fuselage. That doesn't happen from any mechanical failure. So, yeah, the Iranians likely shot it down in a blind panic.

The terrorism will continue, that's for certain. There was a mortar attack on a US base in Kenya shortly after Soleimani was sent to Hell, which may have been a response. That killed a US contractor, and a couple of locals. And don't forget the cyber attacks.

But Trump did score here, and big time. The reality is that Iran is run by crazies, and there is no negotiating with them. Trump just demonstrated how to message them.

And that likely scares the bejesus out of the Deep State scum.

There are reports now that some of Iran's top terrorists are scuttling into hiding, kind of like cockroaches when the lights come on. The lights came on, all right, thanks to Trump. Now they know we can get them no matter where they go, and if they misbehave, we will. For far too long, they believed that wasn't possible.

As for mooning Iran, I truly wish Trump would do it to the House of Representatives, and on top of that, fart right in Nancy Pelosi's face.

Update on that Ukranian airliner -- yep, Iran shot it down. The poor passengers were in the wrong place at the wrong time, God rest their souls.

I wonder how Iran's allies in Congress will spin that?

I am not surprised.

Jeff, what was that last link that broke? The media's shiny new "crossfire" talking point they're all using so they can blame it on Trump?

Good one, Jonah. May all Soleimani's virgins look like Thurston Howell III.

This is the link, Spiny -- sorry about the error!
