It seems being "the Party of Science" can be ignored if it conflicts with their totalitarian instincts.
Vitamin D levels appear to play role in COVID-19 mortality rates. Patients with severe deficiency are twice as likely to experience major complications. When your skin is exposed to sunlight, it makes vitamin D from cholesterol. Why wouldn't the beach be a good place to be, during this pandemic? Notice the link is from sciencedaily.com. I mean, it has the word "Science" right in it's name!
One question: If people can only exercise on wet sand, but can't be on the dry sand, how do they get to the wet sand? Build a bridge?

Honestly, as many speculations or conspiracy theories as I can come up with, the dry sand/wet sand thing just baffles me. What justification could there possibly be? All of the crazy things that are being banned make me think that the Democrats are in deep despair that their Narrative is being shredded daily, subsequently their screws are coming loose big time.
The situation is compounded by the restrictions on parking. I don't think any of this nonsense will be enforced. Orange County Sheriffs refused. My bet is Los Angeles County law enforcement will follow suit. They learned from the paddle board incident. Plus, they probably don't have that many ticket books.
