  1. I have a Ruger LCP, that one is better looking. He did a very nice job.

  2. I have one, too, and the scale and configuration look practically perfect.

Btw, mine's first generation, and I can't hit the side of a barn with it.

  3. I don't shoot mine much. It beats me up, I'll take my Kimber ultra carry 2 (3 and a half inch barrel) any day. 1911's just suit my style and hands better.

  4. I only have one 1911-style pistol: the Colt Government 1991, chambered in .38 Super. Beautiful gun.

  5. You need a 1911 in .45 acp. My next pistol will be a Rock Island GI. 5 inch barrel, $400 at sportsmans warehouse.

  6. I do love the .38 Super. High velocity, flat trajectory. Very sweet.

As a matter of fact, though, I am toying with the idea of getting a .45 acp

  7. Virtually everything I've read or seen on the internet about Rock Island Armory indicates that the company's firearms are the best value for the money on the market. I've actually shot a RIA pistol at the firing range , courtesy of a friendly fellow-shooter, and, man, that thing's smooth.
