C'mon, dude, what's one of the first rules of shooting?

You need to be alert to what's behind your target: "Colorado BLM ‘protester’ marching on highway shoots at car trying to pass, hits fellow comrade".

You know, actually, maybe they're not: "BLM Protester Fatally Shot in Austin: ‘People Who Hate Us’ Are ‘Too Big of P-ssies to Actually Do Anything About It’".

Heard the dead nitwit with the AK got off 5 or 6 rounds and didn't hit anything. Being raised on soy is apparently detrimental to marksmanship. Who knew?

This is not exactly BLM, but it’s close.

If I was in a car driving somewhere and got surrounded by a mob screaming and beating on the car trying to get to me, I would definitely speed up and run over any who don't get out of the way. My Life Matters.

'People who hate us' - who told him that? The mainstream media.

Jeff: Yeah, I saw that the only people who got shot in the Louisville protest were the victims of somebody's gun-handling negligence. Maybe there's a lesson here somewhere. Hostile, heavily-armed "militias" faced off against each other and - nobody fired a shot in anger. Compare with places like Portland and Austin where idiot would-be revolutionaries walk around poking guns in the windows of peoples' cars precisely because they think, for some reason, motorists must not be armed - then get their stupid heads blown off when they learn otherwise. When everybody's armed, there seems to be a sense of extreme caution that calms the itchy trigger finger.

I heard what sounded like 5 rifle shots, then 3 pistol shots. I'm not ballistics expert, but it sure seems like the Antifa AK dope fired first - several times - before he was dropped.

Antifa may demand summary execution for the driver, but only in Austin would he even be charged. The police may very well may say it was self-defense, but if this Travis County DA is like previous ones, the driver will likely be charged with murder.

Better to be judged by 12 than carried by 6...

BTW, the Yahoo News feed makes no mention that the "victim" was armed and fired at the driver. Big surprise there...

Gr4eat comment at the GP:

To paraphrase the late, great Sam Kinison: I don't support the shooting of these wandering miscreants, BUT I UNDERSTAND IT!!!

That was Chris Rock talking about OJ, not Sam Kinison/pedanticjerk

Self defense killings are going to skyrocket.
I hope, if he's charged, the Austin guy doesn't plea bargain and does ask for a jury trial.
I hope we start to see lots of jury nullification on this selective prosecution BS.

Spiny Norman said...

Oh, sorry. I'd never heard it before, so I had no reason to doubt it.

Paco, delete my erroneous comment, if you woulds be so kind.

It's a great comment, and it fits. It wasn't your fault the other guy got it wrong.
I've used it myself a few times.

It's at about 2:30
"I'm not saying he shoulda killed him, but I understand it."

He's used that line a few times in different ways.

And there's the case where a driver and and an antifa-blm clown were in a stand-off.

No one was shot, but that's how crazy things are getting.

For context, Eugene is at the southern end of what I call enemy country in Oregon, a/k/a the Willamette Valley along the I-5 corridor. The area from Eugene to Portland is largely liberal, with zones of outright marxism (e.g., the University of Oregon in ... ... Eugene!).

Spiny Norman said...

Now that I know the context (OJ Simpson gruesomely murdering Nichole and Ron Brown), I'm even more embarrassed by it. It's not funny anymore.

Nichole Brown and Ron Goldman.

Damn, I'm done commenting. Thank gawd for internet anonymity...

At least they were "mostly peaceful" shootings.

Unless they happened after the peaceful demonstrations intensified. And you know you're in an area of intense peace when you hear gunfire. Any more intensely peaceful and you'd be under an artillery barrage.

Spiny: I really don't think it's a big deal, but if you seriously want me to delete the comment, I will. Consider, though, that this page will be replaced by a new one pretty soon, and I doubt that anybody will ever visit it again.

Paco, you could take a page from William F. Buckley and tell Spiney to delete his own damn comment.
