More of this, please

This man ain't playin'.
On Tuesday, Clay County Sheriff Darryl Daniels, the county’s first-ever black sheriff, released a three-minute video warning the left’s beloved “peaceful protesters” that hell on Earth awaits them if they dare to try and stir up trouble in his community.

“Yes, we’ll protect your constitutional rights as long as you remain under the umbrellas of peaceful protest or peaceful march,” he said. “But the second you step out from up under the protection of the Constitution, we’ll be waiting on you and we’ll give you everything you want.”
But wait, there's more!
“If we can’t handle you, I’ll exercise the power and authority as the sheriff, and I’ll make special deputies of every lawful gun owner in this county and I’ll deputize them for this one purpose to stand in the gap between lawlessness and civility,” Daniels said.
Update Could be a whole lot of potential deputies, nationwide: "Data on the Number of Guns Americans Purchased in June Is Here and...Wowza".

RE: "Wowza".

Yep, Piers Morgan is heart broken about that.

Oh, boo hoo hoo!

Just when I thought Piers Morgan was occasionally starting to talk sense, he professes dismay over the fact that more people are taking their constitutional rights seriously. Sheesh!

Incidentally, guns are really drying up out there. There are plenty of Old West replicas, and hunting rifles (question: what the hell happened to routinely putting iron sights on these things?), but many self-defense shotguns, revolvers (especially .38 spl) and semi-automatic pistols are getting scarce. And let's not even get into the paucity of 9mm ammo!

Think of a bubble in a pisspot and you have Piers Morgan's philosophy.

I understand all the 9mm pistols and all the self defense ammo being bought up at a dizzying pace. I'm just trying to figure out where all match grade reloading components are going. Now what cant find at a decent price is 75gn .223 projectiles. It's an awful self defense round, it's made for shooting paper at 300 yards plus.

Do you suppose the materials are being diverted to manufacture other caliber components?

No doubt you're right. I'd be surprised if anyone can produce all their lines simultaneously.
