Before they were Bill Haley and the Comets, stars of rock 'n roll, they were Bill Haley and the Saddlemen, practitioners of western swing. Here they are with something of a crossover tune from 1951 called “Rocket 88” (originally an r&b/early rock 'n roll number recorded by Jackie Brenston and his band, featuring Ike Turner on piano). The pedal steel gives the song a bit of a lingering western swing vibe which I particularly like.

Thought that was a Buick until I looked it up. The first car I got to drive was my grandpas 63 Buick. It had the same paint scheme, more chrome but the same basic body. They're beauties. He used to get a new decked out Buick every three years.
Buicks are one of the cars that I can immediately identify in old movies. Those grills, man!
