No big surprise, there

I mean, who was going to tell a couple of hundred thousand bikers that they have to wear masks? "No masks required as 250,000 expected at 10-day Sturgis Motorcycle Rally. Here's what to know."

Will Sturgis 2020 be "Karen-free"?

Just spitballing here, but I suspect that this event will have possibly the lowest density of Karens per capita than anywhere in the US.

Yeah, I'm thinking your Karens are going to be pretty thin on the ground.

I went to college in nearby Rapid City, and the locals generally avoided the Sturgis Rally back in those days (late 1970s) unless you were a biker, biker babe, vendor, or undercover cop. Or really adventurous (read "stupid").

The Rally has been tamed down somewhat since then. At least since a lot of the original bikers went to college and became a "respectable professional". Or to jail and/or cemetery.

But it is a huge event for the Black Hills area, and I expect that there's a sub-culture of the original rowdy crowd -- there is a lot of open land in that area.

You may have noticed from the article that the city is very careful not to control the gathering. That may be due to the crowds and cash flow. But I wouldn't be surprised if someone whispered something in someone's ear about not being stupid.

Regardless ... ... I'm certain that Karens will be most unwelcome. And pointedly told so. By just about anyone.

I bet there will be a decided lack of antifa mostly-peacefully protesting too.

I have a feeling that any Karens would get snatched bald if they ran afoul of the biker women.

They might be running a little short on Karen's. Even here in Utah where the paper burka is mandatory I get nothing but thumbs up for being the only unmasked person in the grocery store.
