Or even a suspect caught standing over the corpse with a bloody knife in his hand and the victim's wallet in his pocket: "John Durham Dropping His Investigations into Spygate, 'Worried About Blowback From Joe Biden'".
If there's a high-level career bureaucrat in D.C. whose first loyalty isn't to the Deep State, I'd like to know his or her name.
Update More from RedState.
Update II Some commenters over at Ace of Spades are saying that other sources have challenged the contention that Durham is striking his colors. We'll see, but let's just say that I will be very pleasantly surprised if the original assertion turns out to be untrue.
Nobody wants to get Flynned. And Republicans don't do that, only Dems.
ReplyDeleteSo this is a smart move. Cowardly, though. And watch the Hunter Biden story go away, too. And if Susan Rice is the Biden/Harris SecState, watch even mentioning Benghazi become a criminal offense.
Oh, I'm not surprised, at all. It was only a matter of time before Durham showed the white feather.
ReplyDeleteOr, perhaps, not the white feather; maybe he was just doing his real job, which was to cover up for the criminal bureaucrats he was supposed to be investigating.
ReplyDeleteYeah, no surprises here. The Deep State is embedded deeply in the government.
ReplyDeleteOur government is busy ensuring we don't trust it or respect it while ensuring we all know that lefties and our fine deepstate betters can commit felonies and treason, like lying to the Commander in Chief about troop levels, with impunity.
ReplyDeleteThe endgame on that is ugly and I really don't want to see what happens next.
Especially if they manage to blatantly fraud their way into stealing an election.
I only ever expected a few low-level scapegoats to be indicted after this "investigation", but it's a total shock to me that they aren't going to indict anybody! I don't know why I should be so surprised. After all, the Democrats hardly bothered to hide the election fraud they were pulling right in front of our faces, why should we expect actual justice to be done?
