Ah, one of the classic episodes of Gilligan's Island!

I forgot that Gilligan scene and only saw it now on Youtube, and there's Phil Silvers aka Bilko. Bilko, McHale's Navy etc, we sure got some funny impressions of the US military in the 1960s (F Troop? Forget Ginger and Mary Ann, I'll take Wrangler Jane any day, I thought Melody Patterson was super hot).

Paco, if you are an uncultured buffoon (no offense), the best course of action is to remain silent. In the meantime work on your classical education.

Uncultured buffoon? Why, that comment startled me so badly I almost knocked over my sideboard filled with Elvis commemorative plates!

Seriously, though, I don't know how I missed that episode of Gilligan's Island. My recollection is that I was a regular watcher. Obviously I missed that one.

That's one of my favorites. Another is the one where Nehemiah Persoff arrived on the island as a deposed South American dictator, and they ended up holding an election.

Probably my favorite is the Most Dangerous Game remake. A big game hunter (Rory Calhoun) arrives, and guess what? He's decided the only game worth hunting is... (dun duh DUMMMM!!!!) humans. And of course, Gilligan is the prey. And equally of course, Gilligan "outsmarts" the hunter by being obtuse.

Oh, and about the "uncultured buffoon" remark? It's only because of the deep and abiding respect I have for you.

And by the way, I think your dogs playing poker picture - the one on velvet - is askew. Either that or your trailer is slipping off the cinder blocks again.

Dang! I knew it was a mistake to replace them flat rocks we pulled out of the crick with cinder blocks, but Mrs. Paco wanted to update the place, so...

I liked Denver as Maynard in Dobie Gillis. Was shocked to see that Zelda who I had a bit of a crush on too (I was young y'see) grew up into a raging harpie. Then again, of course she did, it should have been obvious, and we were so naive.

I liked Dobie Gillis! Denver was great as beatnik Maynard.
