"There are countless horrible things happening all over the world and horrible people prospering, but we must never allow them to disturb our equanimity or deflect us from our sacred duty to sabotage and annoy them whenever possible." -Auberon Waugh
From the quote, there's no substance in what Soros writes, just bluster.
ReplyDeleteI've actually read Karl Popper's 'Open Society' books whose name Soros seems to have appropriated. Even if you haven't gone into it though, it's obvious to ordinary folks that Soros is the bigger threat to democracy than anything he opposes.
As a qualified political scientist though - I've got the diploma to prove it! - I see a crypto-religious globalist cult as the problem, not some coordinated conspiracy. See Sam Goldman's brief summary here:
https://americanmind.org/features/academias-disease/our-perverse-puritanism/
'the radical exposure and purgation of a millennium of sin' is the kind of thing which has always inspired unthinking masses to rise up like lemmings and march t0 oblivion, and that's what scares me. Easily led by demagogues and shysters. I'm saying globalism is the new millenial faith which Karl Popper could not have forseen when he wrote his books: Jihadists of East and West. We oppose them by making our local communities strong and avoiding grand narratives.
I wish Merkel would give Soros more than a sad. I wish she would give him a punch to the face. Won't happen, though, because she's largely in on his subversion of democracy.
ReplyDeleteI dunno. That face is so doughy Merkel's fist might get stuck, like Brer Rabbit and the tar baby.
