Doesn't it seem reasonable that a person willfully and deliberately framing an innocent person receive at least the minimum sentence the innocent person would have received if convicted?

It's happening as I feared. All that sturm und drang about "getting to the bottom of things" and "getting justice for the people" was just an exercise in finding a low-level scapegoat or two. The best we can hope for is that future potential low-level scapegoats will be more cautious about the people they work for.
