Tim Conway was always so low key and unassuming (like Newhart) but he shows in clips like this his killer instinct. When he gets his partner off balance he quietly and gently and subtly moves in for the kill and drills the poor hapless victim into a quivering mass of suppressed laughter. And he does it all so offhandedly that it doesn't look at all deliberate. He seems genuinely unaware of the devastating effect he is having.

ReplyDeleteYeah, half the fun of watching those skits on the Carol Burnett show was to see how long Korman could stifle his laughter when Tim really got going.

I'm surprised it was granted a patent though, people had been using that system to guard a door for long time before then, that's just another use for a known system.
I just don't see that tail stinger clearing the fedora.
