#1 Son, the eminent Virginia Beach tattooist, did some work for an asthma sufferer today.
Totally unrelated question: I just read that there are going to be 25,000 fans, and "30,000 cutouts" in the stadium for the Super Bowl. Do they literally mean cutouts, as in cardboard cutouts?

I bet actual cutouts. They've been placed in some arenas already.
ReplyDeleteAnd crowd noises are dubbed in, too.
Yep. I texted a friend, and she sent me an article about it. Apparently, the NFL charged people $100 to have a cutoff of themselves (or their dog or whatever) placed in the stands. Damned NFL grossed $3MM on this crap. Except for the fact that it would have put money in the NFL's pocket, it might have been fun to flood the stadium with Donald Trump cutouts.
ReplyDeleteCutouts. Utterly stupid.
ReplyDeleteExcept when Denver put the town of South Park in the stands.
But except for that, just idiotic.
I would have paid $100 to put a cut out of my backside, with my trousers at half mast, in the stadium.
ReplyDeleteV: Did Denver do that? Now, that's sweet.
ReplyDeleteAs is your idea, Jeff. It's the perfect salute to the NFL.
Yes, the stands were filled with cutouts. I had expressed my skepticism that there would be many people there, but Mr. H gleefully pointed out to me that the stands looked full ... until I told him to look closer. He refuses to believe that his beloved game is losing viewers. Also, several thousand of the real people there were given free tickets under the guise of rewarding health care workers and flown to the game by the NFL.
ReplyDeleteAlso, nice work by #1 Son.

They all have masks on, which cheapens it, but still darn funny.
I hadn't realized they put masks on them. I'd just read about it and seen a couple small pics of it.
Now I wish I hadn't looked for the link.
