If you're not reading Ace's sidebar everyday, you ought to be. Rarely a day goes by that he doesn't tear into the cosplay conservatives at discount intellectual outlets like the Dispatch and NRO, or the anti-Trump pimps at the Lincoln Project. Of course these people are idiots and sell-outs, but they're still out there peddling their snake oil, so it's necessary to smite them, hip and thigh, whenever the opportunity presents itself, and I find Ace's weapon of choice - the flame thrower - to be highly appropriate, as well as very entertaining.
Update Yes! Make them leave: "Never-Trump Republicans Looking at Forming Third Party".

Ace relies too much on the Nazi analogy, IMO. I view what the oligarchs and their pet Democrats are doing to the country as pure Stalinism.
ReplyDeleteAs for the Never-Trumper third party, let them have at it. I don't think they're going to like the kind of people they'll attract to it.
When it comes to real numbers, I doubt the NeverTrumpers could draw flies with horses**t - which, come to think of it, is all they've got.
ReplyDeleteBtw, I'm wondering if Ace goes with the Nazi analogies more frequently than with the communist putdowns because Democrats and RINOs think they're insulated from being labeled reds ("LOL! You're just a McCarthyite!"), whereas the charge of being a fascist perhaps really stings at some level.
