Washington State: Just say "Yes!" to drugs

The state of Washington gets loopier every year. Now, the state's Supreme Court - which, I believe, must be headed up by Tommy Chong - has thrown out the felony drug possession law

The state Supreme Court argued that the mere act of finding an illicit substance on someone’s person or on their property is not enough to prove they had any intent to possess those drugs. In other words, they could unknowingly be in possession of heroin or cocaine and they shouldn’t have to prove to the court that they are innocent.
So, your mom might not have bought the "I have no idea how those two joints got in my pocket" defense, but it's A-OK with the authorities in Washington.

This is a useful precedent. It takes all the stress and urgency out of disposing bodies.

Do you get the idea that Washington State politicians are probably users?

If they aren't users, Rebecca, they are dealers.
