The stately 2nd movement of Beethoven's Symphony No. 7.
Bonus video! Here's what happens when you cross Beethoven with bluegrass (H/T: friend and commenter Deborah).
"There are countless horrible things happening all over the world and horrible people prospering, but we must never allow them to disturb our equanimity or deflect us from our sacred duty to sabotage and annoy them whenever possible." -Auberon Waugh
Wow,the bluegrass was great, I liked how the bass guitarist was playing it like a stand-up bass. John Bullard does some nice banjo versions on Jesu Joy of Man's Desiring, both solo and wit orchestra. and then there's all the wild ukulele stuff out there.
ReplyDeleteOnly thing missing was a jug and a washboard.
ReplyDeleteExcellent background music to enjoy a meal of schweinshaxe, kartoffelpuffer and grits, washed down with some mint juleps and Weihenstephan Hefe Weissbier beer.
ReplyDeletePaco, thanks for the hat tip. Just for the record, Richard McEnroe told me.
ReplyDeleteA jug and washboard would be interesting, and fun to watch/listen. Imagine the jug player and washboarder playing. Btw, a flute player is a flautists, but do jug and washboard players have designations (outside the hawler)?
