Come and get it!

There are lots of things to see and do in Texas, but I'd go there just to try out this restaurant.

Those are the biggest chicken-fried steaks I've ever seen. The fries look delicious, too. Healthy-eating advocates might argue that eating that stuff is like screwing a cork into your aorta, but, man, what a way to go!

I can't pass up chicken fried steak if I see it on the menu; same with a Reuben or biscuits and gravy; I might live to 91 if I watch what I eat, but my 91 year old grandfather warned me against such foolishness.

My uncle was around 97 or 98 when his dr told him he should stop drinking Manhattans.
"Why? Will I die young?"
Funny guy Uncle Walt.

Would those healthy-eating advocates be the same ones who pushed the Food Pyramid on us for three decades?

Paco said...

Could be, Steve. I've always adhered to a different food pyramid.

Saw a photo of Beef Wellington the other day.
That brought back memories of going to a restaurant with my father when I was very young.
I ordered Beef Wellington and it was delicious!

Never had it since and had forgotten about it.
I wonder if any restaurants around here have it on the menu.

My food pyramid includes lots of fish.

I've always wanted to try it, but never had the opportunity. Still waiting.

My Uncle John made a prime rib that was delicious. Never had any as good.

It's not what you eat, it's how much you eat. These days I eat whatever I like, I just don't eat a lot of it. And those steaks and fries do look good.

It's breakfast time over her. And after that video, a bowl of oars and a cup of tea are going to be pretty damn ordinary.
