LOL!

Way to conduct due diligence, guys.

The newly renamed Cleveland Guardians aren’t the only Guardians in town.
When the Cleveland Indians announced their name change last week, the move was met with a mixed reaction among baseball fans. It also raised a red flag with a local roller derby team named the… Cleveland Guardians.
That could spell trouble for the baseball club, as their neighbors on skates are the owners of the clevelandguardians.com domain, as well as social media monikers it might be interested in — @ClevelandGuardians on Instagram and Facebook.

  1. Cleveland owner Paul Dolan: "Wait, what? There's already a Cleveland Guardians?"

"Oh, so that's why that name sounded familiar."

Oh, well, St. Louis had two pro teams named the Cardinals for many years. As long as the roller derby team doesn't mind being associated with them, who cares?

Yeah, the baseball team has implicitly admitted that they're racists. They should be toxic.

  4. So it's back to the drawing board for the former Indians. How much did the name change cost? How much will it take to straighten this out. Wonder what the new name/logo will be.

Those baseball folks better be careful, because the roller derby ladies are tough. They should send em a very large fruit basket and keg, along with a note expressing sincere apologies and begging forgiveness.
