Ron Pepeil, RIP

Entrepreneur and creator of numerous, er, high-quality products - including Hair in a Can - and founder of Ronco, Ron Pepeil has died at age 86.

But wait, there's more! He was one of the great visionaries who inspired Paco Enterprises and its consumer products empire. Why, the number of stars in our one-star reviews could fill a galaxy! Yelp took its name from the cry uttered by our Chief Operating Officer when he read the first review of our inaugural product - the Pretty Accurate Car Odometer, used by hundreds of used car dealers across the country to, uh, improve their marketing pitches.

So, we lower our flag and doff our hats in memory of this marketing genius.
