"There are countless horrible things happening all over the world and horrible people prospering, but we must never allow them to disturb our equanimity or deflect us from our sacred duty to sabotage and annoy them whenever possible." -Auberon Waugh

Thanks for the link, Paco.
ReplyDeleteI don't know how much longer this show will survive on youtube. They should move to bitchute or odysee. Jump before they're pushed.
Yeah it's terrible, I avoid watching MSM news.
ReplyDeleteBut I blame external forces, not internal politics. Whichever party is in power makes little difference, and the main opposition voices are either extreme libertarians, American-style (low church) Christians, or others out on the fringe. (Australia was founded as a high church Anglican Catholic nation, Calvin had minimal influence here).
This is how Australia looks when faced with an external threat. FDR described our wartime attitude as 'panic', but based on what was known, paranoia has always been a reasonable response to Australia's precarious position in the world. I mean it looks like the White Australia policy formulated late 1800s to deal with what was perceived as a mostly Chinese threat was fully justified, for example. Think about that. This is the real world. Being swamped by Chinese is not a happy prospect. Libertarians? No thank you. (Yes I have Chinese friends, one even grew up in Beijing's Forbidden City and is a wonderful fellow who introduced me to computing and the internet! Without him I would not be here.)
Bitchute is running hot, Gregory. They're doxing Melbourne police, via 'TheXYZ' whose background I'm not too sure of - did I see mention of 'Jews'? Oh dear no.
ReplyDeleteHere in NSW we've had rebellions before and I'm happy to encourage it as it keeps them in their place (we got rid of Governor 'Captain' Bligh of Bounty fame), Melbourne OTOH you'd know better than me, but I think its genteel pretensions work against it now.
I was too obtuse - I mean there is an anti-semitic fringe here which I don't want to support. And it's getting whacky - someone has revived the Freemason 'conspiracy' canard. Good grief.
ReplyDeleteBut sometimes those websites are the only place to get unfiltered news, or a balance to the propaganda elsewhere ('Covid denier dies!' etc).
Bruce, I was a follower of XYZ back a few years ago. They were a good place to go for alternative views. And then, almost overnight it seemed, they started pushing a strong line in anti-semitism. I visit rarely now.
ReplyDeleteI left Melbourne thirty years ago, but looking at it from a distance I feel that this is the Cain/Kirner years redux, with the volume turned up to eleven and heavily dosed with meth.
Yes Cain Kirner. Melbourne must be very Scottish - 'Glen' everywhere. Now a leader named Andrews, is this the Presbyterians' revenge? I mean they say if you wanted to celebrate Christmas in Scotland you risked being arrested and neighbours spied on each other to enforce 'the law':

I guess my version of Anglican Catholic Australia is very NSW-centric. I may have underestimated Calvin's influence in Victoria.
