Thank God for the Second

I used to value the American citizen's right to bear arms primarily because it enabled law-abiding people to protect themselves from the violent depredations of criminals. Secondarily, I always saw the Second Amendment as a warning to politicians who suffer from totalitarian impulses. 

But the world is changing so fast, now, with virtually every imbecilic notion of the left finding expression in what passes for "the law", and lighting a path unto the enemies of freedom, both foreign and domestic, that I wonder if I might not ultimately find myself having to ward off vaccine militias, Muslim terrorists and Chinese troops.
