The more I hear about and from George Bush, the more solidly I am confirmed in my contempt for him. I regret even reluctantly supporting him, and I am heartily sorry for ever uttering a word in his defense.

"There are countless horrible things happening all over the world and horrible people prospering, but we must never allow them to disturb our equanimity or deflect us from our sacred duty to sabotage and annoy them whenever possible." -Auberon Waugh

That is the worst part about our fine betters.
ReplyDeleteWe defend so may against vicious attacks and then they bone us.
The three Trump nominated and that he and we defended against the most scurrilous attacks could have joined Thomas and Alito and tried to force Roberts to take up the stolen election suit brought by a few states last year, but they boned us so we're stuck with an illegimate, senile dunce.
They don't dance with who brung em.
George Bush saved us from two disasters: Al Gore and John Kerry. Trump saved us from only one. I give Trump credit for making Bush crazy (along with many others that needed to be exposed as crazy). It's kind of sad to watch, but Bush is now about as irrelevant as anyone can be.
ReplyDeleteI give Trump credit for many things but fault him for not sufficiently cleaning house, and I look forward to a fresh face in 2024 who can do that ruthlessly. Start with the military and figure out which Lt. Col.s are capable of filling all the new vacancies in the the general ranks and understand what the military is for. Proceed to DOJ.
Ever notice how George Bush's nose has gotten longer and pointier the older he gets? I was all for him after 9/11 through the end of his presidency, and even after when he was visiting wounded soldiers. What a disappointment he's become.
