We've gone from "two weeks to flatten the curve" to "let's deny unvaccinated people hospitalization".
Yeah, it's just whiny pussy boy Jimmy Kimmel, but you know he's mouthing sentiments held by lots of leftists in and out of government.
"There are countless horrible things happening all over the world and horrible people prospering, but we must never allow them to disturb our equanimity or deflect us from our sacred duty to sabotage and annoy them whenever possible." -Auberon Waugh

Yeah, we're getting a lot of fear porn up here in the Northwest, about the hospitals being overloaded and WEARYOURF**KINGMASK!!!
ReplyDeleteLocally, we had a business owner insult a large percentage of the county residents when he posted this on Facebook, regarding the county fair:
So, who's going to the County "Super Spreader" event this weekend? Our complicit county commissioners assured me today on the phone that they are following all the state guidelines in place. Does that make you feel any safer?
We have a traveling carnival full of unmasked, unvaccinated, and undereducated employees visiting our county. I barely trust them to run the rides, Nevermind wearing a mask properly or getting vaccinated.
Apparently the clown had a phone conversation with the county commissioners ... ... and it was vile enough that one commissioner posted a summary on his personal FB page.
I'm pretty sure that business owner seriously hearts Kimmel.
I weep for the Republic.
Meanwhile, one of Australia's brilliant leaders wants to "Lock Out the Unvaccinated From the Economy".
ReplyDeleteWouldn't it be more efficient if they just lined them up against the wall, and shot them?
Don't give them any ideas, Rman. You know how they romanticize firing squads.
DeletePremier Dan mouths off, but the people he's threatening ARE the economy: truck drivers, builder's laborers, shopkeepers. Similar to your Latinos but over here they are Middle Eastern and Pacific Islanders who live in large extended families. Their areas are mostly where the army is in the streets and helicopters overhead. The virus spreads in their close-knit communities, and a few of them die from it. Daily 'covid' briefings are in English, Arabic and Vietnamese, so that tells you where the virus is concentrated.
ReplyDeleteTheir closeness makes them vulnerable, but it also gives them an economic advantage being able to call on relatives to help a small business startup without too much expense, so they dominate whole industries now. I'm not complaining, Lebanese grocers are the best.
None of this makes much sense - there aren't many deaths so it seems an over-reaction. And bureaucrats have gone mad with power, based on data-modelling projections. It's the same as the 'climate change' nonsense.
Demagogues like Kimmel aren't helping.
The really scary thing is our fellow citizens. So many petty vaccine-Nazis have come out of the woodwork. I'm not sure I want to share a country with these people, but what to do?
ReplyDeleteOne anonymous commenter on Premier Gladys' twitter feed just commented, 'We will prevent the unvaccinated from going out, for their own good'. Oh yeah? We'll see about that.
The Chinese own our media, so naturally Kimmel is saying what he is told to say. I think it's suspicious that false ivermectin overdose story has popped up in two different states. It's almost like somebody is spreading the story on purpose, and if you track it down, it's always a media company that twisted an interview and started the rumor.
ReplyDeleteTerry McAuliffe says he wants to "make life difficult" for Virginians who don't comply with his COVID vaccine mandate.
ReplyDeleteI left the Democratic People's Republic of Maryland for this sort of thing?
Tom: It's getting to be a case of "you can run but you can't hide". I was astonished at the speed with which Virginia's decline set in, and am just lucky to have gotten out when I did.
ReplyDeleteIn re: Virginia, there is at least a ray of hope.
