Well I'd not heard of Monica Smit, so that is enlightening. Here's a mainstream report with the usual gaslighting - calling her an 'anti-vaxxer':

And that's in the Murdoch News Ltd, which has been as anti-freedom as the rest at least on that 'news' page. So much for the 'Murdoch' conspiracy theories which stupid lefties recite here ad nauseum.
Bruce, you're bang on target with the lefties and their Murdoch Derangement Syndrome. They have effectively convinced themselves that Rupert never supported Whitlam in 1972 or Rudd in 2007.
ReplyDeleteExactly so. A friend was a News Ltd journo in the 70s and I heard it direct from them - Murdoch was pro-Whitlam in 72, but then anti-Whitlam after that, when genuine concerns about Whitlam's competence had been revealed. In other words, just typical editorial stances which any paper makes, following changes in public opinion.
ReplyDeleteBut oh the endless wailing of those who thought they had a right to expect eternal loyalty! I've heard it for 45 plus years, you can imagine how childish it sounds to me. US wailing about 'Fox News' is similar (M endorsed Obama, no?), preceded by British pearl-clutching about Murdoch the colonial upstart who beat them at their own game.
