In a move that will probably only send shockwaves through their creditors, political temperance biddies Jonah Goldberg and Stephen Hayes have announced that they are quitting Fox News in protest over Tucker Carlson's January 6th documentary. The two moral scolds flopped onto their fainting couches after being shocked by Carlson's asseveration that the federales might have had something to do with ginning up the "insurrection". Subsequently roused from their unconscious state via the smell of freshly baked Krispy Kreme donuts, the two ex-Fox-contributors provided this hard-hitting analysis of Carlson's report.
"Piffle!", Goldberg intoned with asperity.
"Pish-tosh!" Hayes elaborated.
Oh, brother. This makes me even happier to have given up watching or listening to "news" many years ago...in the early 2000s I enjoyed reading Jonah on Jewish World Review...
ReplyDeleteAnother episode of As The World Turns...and I don't do drama anymore, if I can manage to avoid it. Makes my tummy hurt, and at my age, that's NOT a good thing. ^_^
Ace notes that according to FoxNews, their contracts were not going to be renewed.
ReplyDeleteAnd so these highly principled men of high principle took the highly principled stand of refusing the non-contract that had not been offered them.

This reminds me of that Vice President's position at JP Morgan I turned down 20 years ago, because (a) I disliked their heavy support of Democrat politicians, and (b) they never offered it to me.
