Senator Joe Manchin seems to have derailed Biden's Blow Up America Bill.
And the usual suspects - motivated more by hatred of Trump than by any serious concern over the welfare of the Republic - froth at the mouth, right on cue.

Why do I have the sneaking suspicion that there are a lot of Democrats in Congress who are secretly breathing a sigh of relief, even while they're publicly frothing and condemning Manchin as the Antichrist?
ReplyDeleteYou may be right about that. If Manchin really is the only Democrat to see the destructive folly of Biden's mega-spending bill, then the Democrat Party is farther gone than I thought it was.

Yes, they both seem to have an independent streak. Or at least, they are mindful that their future election prospects in red states requires something besides the garden variety woke leftist.
