That reminds me, there's a comic movie about a scientist who invents some kind of goop that makes wood repel objects that are coated in it. He uses the stuff to become a star pitcher for the St. Louis Cardinals (It Happens Every Spring, starring Ray Milland).
Actually, I almost blew it in the 4th game. I let the batter get a hold of my pitch, and he sent one to the gap in left center. But, thinking quickly I just leaned left and sent it over to the left fielder. I should have been given an assist on that one.
