I think friend and commenter, Veeshir's, "Iron Law of Politicians" - to wit, "if you like one you've been successfully conned" - applies not just to elected officeholders, but to most (not all) people connected to government in any way.
Bret Kavanaugh, for example: "Kavanaugh Ripped To Shreds By Conservatives After Siding With Biden Admin".
Although I can't say I ever particularly "liked" him. He struck me as a bit of a squish during his confirmation hearings - and I know, I know, he was put through the usual hyper-partisan Democrat wringer featuring an especially loathsome smear - but, nonetheless, I obviously would have preferred someone made of sterner stuff. But I guess not all jurists can be Clarence Thomas.
My angle was, with the barrage of accusations aimed at him, kavanuagh must be a solid Trump/De Santis type. Why would they hammer him so, otherwise?

ReplyDeleteFirst, John Roberts. Then Amy Barrett. Now Brett Kavanaugh. It must be the water.
