"Florida Agriculture Commissioner Nikki Fried, a Democrat candidate for governor in the Sunshine State, compared her potential general election opponent Gov. Ron DeSantis to Nazi dictator Adolf Hitler during an interview that aired on Florida Public Radio’s 'The Florida Roundup' on Friday."
Yes, we know she's just the Democrats' sacrificial offering in an election in which DeSantis is likely to give her a thorough shellacking. But still, the Hitler comparisons have gotten pretty tiresome, and have essentially become meaningless (might as well call your opponent a butt head). Even if you're bound to lose, can't you be just a little bit more civil? [Answer: No.]
What I'm waiting for is a breakthrough moment when some Democrat actually says that "Republican candidate John Doe is worse than Hitler."
She says "I saw the rise of Hitler." Just how old was she in 1933?
ReplyDeleteShe's remarkably well preserved.
ReplyDeleteThe people laughed and she said Burn!
ReplyDeleteHow come nobody ever says "She's literally Stalin"? Or "He's literally Saddam Hussein"? Or "He's literally Pol Pot"? I mean, all the other dead dictators in Hell must really feel left out.
ReplyDeleteyet again, Godwin's Law prevails; I'm thinking Stalin and Pol Pot, like Che and Castro are Communists of Blessed Memory, so no comparison; that probably leaves out Mao Zedong and Ho Chi Minh out too; Saddam, George Bush's nemesis, so again, of Blessed Memory. It's so hard a despot who hasn't explicitly called himself a communist.
ReplyDeleteRebecca: I'm surprised those damned souls in hell don't launch a class action suit (I mean, it ain't like they can't have their pick of lawyers).
