"There are countless horrible things happening all over the world and horrible people prospering, but we must never allow them to disturb our equanimity or deflect us from our sacred duty to sabotage and annoy them whenever possible." -Auberon Waugh

ReplyDeleteIn the long past years of the 1970s and 80s I was a leatherworker. Belts, bags, sandals, and shoes. This was the sort of work people imagined that I did when they asked what I did for a living. In truth the workshop was far more automated. We did use old treadle sewing machines, but most of the cutting was done on a press. And we used brushes to apply glues etc rather than our fingers.
